We offer in-house private dining events primarily at two locations: Boxcar Social Summerhill (1208 Yonge St) and Boxcar Social Harbourfront (235 Queens Quay W). From May to September, we also host private events at our sister spaces in the Harbourfront Centre: The Whet Bar and Bobby Bermuda’s Sunset Grill. In addition to catering events at our partner venues, we execute off-site private dining in personal homes, private lofts, and residential spaces across downtown Toronto.

Our private dining experiences are structured for 20-50 guests, with a standard event food spend minimum of $1,500 before taxes, gratuity, and beverage add-ons. All proposals provide itemized pricing with quoted rates locked for 14 days.

Absolutely. Because every private dinner is prepped from scratch, we easily tailor menus for celiac (gluten-free), vegan, dairy-free, halal-conscious, and specific allergy preferences. Dietary disclosures are finalized 14 business days prior to your event.

We bring self-contained portable induction cookers and serving ware, requiring zero commercial restaurant equipment. Depending on your event details and what’s available in your space, we may need to purchase rental utensils and equipment. Our team handles all food staging, service, and complete kitchen cleanup before departure.

Dates are secured on a first-confirmed basis with a 50% deposit. Final headcounts, menu selections, and dietary requirements are confirmed 14 business days prior to the date.
